Gustafson's Furniture was established in 1928 by Martin Gustafson  in a small shop on 7th Street in Rockford, IL. At the time, they also  sold vacuums, small appliances, Maytag Washers and Dryers and furniture  door to door. In 1959, the business moved to a larger 9,000 square feet  store on 7th Street Still selling Appliances, Furniture and Gifts. In  1999, having outgrown the location, we moved to North Town Shopping  Center and took over the Bergners department store location.  With 90,000 square feet to fill with Furniture, Mattresses, Linens, Area  Rugs, and Accessories - Gustafson's Furniture and Mattress set out to  make their mark in the furniture industry in Rockford.
